Specificity for CD8a
The CD8a Mouse Anti-Human Monoclonal Antibody reacts with human CD8a, a cell surface receptor of 32– 34 kDa. CD8a can exist as an alpha/beta heterodimer with the CD8 beta chain, or as an α/α homodimer. CD8 binds MHC class I antigen, is involved in T-cell development, and activation of mature T cells. CD8a is expressed on most thymocytes and a subpopulation of mature T cells and NK cells.
