Specificity for CD9
The CD9 Rat Anti-Mouse Monoclonal Antibody reacts with mouse CD9, a 24 kDa member of the tetraspanin family. It is expressed by monocytes, macrophages, platelets, early B cells, activated B and T cells, dendritic cells, eosinophils, basophils, endothelial cells, myoblasts, neuroblasts, and oocytes. In the mouse, CD9 is used as a marker for marginal zone B cells, B1 cells, and plasma cells. CD9 plays a role in co- stimulation of naïve T cells, modulation of phagocytic and inflammatory responses in mouse macrophages, and other immune response related functions.
