Specificity for CD19
The CD19 Mouse Anti-Human Monoclonal Antibody reacts with human CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein that is part of a complex inclulding CD21, CD81, and MHC class II that acts as a co-receptor for BCR. It is involved in signal transduction, and B cell proliferation. CD19 is expressed by follicular dendritic cells and B cells. Expression by B lineage cells is present throughout development, but is lost upon maturation to plasma cells.
