Specificity for CD11a
The CD11a Rat Anti-Mouse Monoclonal Antibody reacts with mouse CD11a, a 180 kDa integrin molecule expressed by all leukocytes. The CD11a antigen (integrin alpha subunit), in association with CD18 (integrin beta2 subunit) makes up LFA-1 which is expressed on thymocytes, T and B lymphocytes, and on non-lymphoid cells in the bone marrow. LFA-1 is an important adhesion molecule involved in lymphocyte and granulocyte function.
