Specificity for CD11b
The CD11b Mouse Anti-Human Monoclonal Antibody reacts with human CD11b, a 165 kDa integrin molecule. The CD11b antigen (integrin alphaM subunit), in association with CD18 (integrin beta2 subunit) makes up Mac-1 which is expressed on is expressed on the surface of monocytes, granulocytes, activated lymphocytes, and a subset of NK cells. In addition to its role in binding C3bi on opsonized targets and mediation of the subsequent ingestion process, Mac-1 is important in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions
