Specificity for CD26
The CD26 Rat Anti-Mouse Monoclonal Antibody recognizes mouse CD26, a soluble ectoenzyme that cleaves amino terminus X-proline dipeptides. It plays a role in cell adhesion, apoptosis, immune regulation, and signal transduction. CD26 expression is developmentally regulated in thymocytes. It is also expressed on the surface of a subpopulation of resting B cells, stimulated B cells, NK cells, a subpopulation of resting and activated T cells, and other epithelial cell types. This antibody is reported to have activating function.
