Specificity for CD41
The CD41 Rat Anti-Mouse Monoclonal Antibody recognizes mouse CD41, an integrin (alpha subunit) which associates with CD61 (integrin beta subunit) to form a receptor involved in platelet function, and binding of adhesion molecules including fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin. CD41 is expressed on the surface of platelets and megakaryocytes, and also on hematopoietic progenitor cells in the embryo, fetus, and adult.
