Specificity for CD41b
The CD41b Mouse Anti-Human Monoclonal Antibody (mAb) recognizes human CD41 molecule, an integrin (alpha subunit) which associates with CD61 (integrin beta subunit) to form a receptor involved in platelet function, and binding of adhesion and aggregation molecules including fibrinogen, fibronectin, von Willebrand factor, vitronectin and thrombospondin. CD41 is expressed on the surface of platelets and megakaryocytes. The CD41b Mouse Anti-Human mAb blocks platelet aggregation.
