Specificity for CD34
The CD34 Mouse Anti-Human Monoclonal Antibody recognizes the class III epitope of human CD34. CD34 is a single pass transmembrane protein with a heavily glycosylated extracellular domain, and an N-terminal mucin domain. Its epitopes are categorized into three classes (I, II or III) based on differential sensitivity to enzymatic cleavage by neuraminidase, chymopapain, or O-glycoprotease. CD34 is expressed on hematopoietic progenitors, on some populations of mesenchymal stem cells, and by vascular endothelia in the adult.
