Specificity for CD38
The CD38 Mouse Anti-Human Monoclonal Antibody recognizes human CD38, a ~45 kDa type II transmembrane protein. CD38 is an ectoenzyme that functions as a cyclic ADP ribose hydrolase essential for intracellular calcium regulation. It plays a role in B cell proliferation, lymphocyte activation and differentiation. It is expressed by thymocytes, peripheral B cells including plasma cells, activated T cells, and monocytes.
