CaptAvidin™ biotin-binding protein contains a nitrated tyrosine in its biotin-binding site. This chemical modification permits dissociation of the avidin-biotin complex under milder conditions than the traditional avidin-biotin complex. At pH 4.0, CaptAvidin™ biotin-binding protein binds biotin tightly with a K a of ~10 9 M -1 . This association can then be reversed at pH 10, allowing complete dissociation of the avidin-biotin complex. This is in contrast to the harsh conditions (8 M guanidine hydrochloride, pH 1.5) needed to dissociate the avidin-biotin complex.

Recombinant protein G is produced in a strain of E. coli which contains the gene for protein G from Streptococcus sp. This product is prepared by covalently coupling highly purified rec-Protein G to Sepharose® 4B. It is supplied as a 50% suspension containing 25 ml rec-Protein G-Sepharose® 4B + 25 ml PBS (10 mM phosphate-buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 0.1% Proclin preservative). Applications: Immunoglobulin affinity purification and Immunoprecipitation. Recombinant protein G binds to the Fc region of many types of immunoglobulin G including: all four subclasses of human IgG mouse IgG rabb...

The Protein Quant Sample Lysis Kit contains the reagents required for the preparation of target and control cell lysates for use with TaqMan® Protein Assay experiments. It contains a one-step lysis solution for preparing crude cell lysates from cultured cells, and the lysates are compatible with cell counting as well as total protein quant measurements such as a microBCA assay. The Protein Quant Sample Lysis Kit contains a buffered nonionic detergent solution for the gentle lysis of adherent and non-adherent cultured cells under non-denaturing conditions

SKP2 (S-phase Kinase-associated Protein 2) belongs to the family of F-box proteins that interact with the Cyclin A-Cdk2 complex. In tumor tissues, SKP2 is expressed widely, such as colon mucinous carcinoma, gastric adenocarcinoma, breast cancer, melanoma, prostate adenocarcinoma, with particularly higher expression on lung adenocarcinoma, lung squamous carcinoma, squamous carcinoma of cervix, endometrial carcinoma, ovary serous carcinoma and leiomyosarcoma. A recent study suggests that SKP2 plays a role in oncogenesis and is involved in the pathogenesis of lymphomas. Positive tissue: Breast ca...
