Life Technologies’ EZValidation™ Online Tool Selected by APHL
Association of Public Health Laboratories Purchases Licenses for Its Members, 63 Adopt
CARLSBAD, Calif. – November 14, 2011 – Life Technologies Corporation today announced that American Public Health Laboratories (APHL) has selected the company’s AcroMetrix EZValidation™ Online Tool for assistance in meeting verification and validation requirements. Sixty-three of APHL’s member laboratories have opted to use the EZValidation™ Online Tool.
The EZValidation™ Online Tool is a web-based program intended to assist laboratories meet their verification or validation requirements. EZValidation helps labs to interpret regulatory guidelines into user-defined validation or verification protocols; calculate the amount of reagents and quality control materials needed to run protocols. The protocols are designed to efficiently consolidate accuracy, precision, linearity studies across runs, perform statistical analyses and combine results into a single validation report.1
“The Montana Public Health Laboratory is beginning validation studies for two molecular assays, and this will be our first chance to use the AcroMetrix EZ Validation Tool,” said Suzanne Norris Zanto, acting laboratory director and lab systems improvement manager at the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services Laboratory Services Bureau. “We are excited to see how this new tool will streamline our validation processes, perform the needed statistical analysis, and provide us with one final validation report. I really like the flexibility that is built into the tool, and think it will be a great aid in meeting our regulatory requirements.”
