Volunteering Our Time
Volunteering in our local communities has long been the cornerstone of Life’s efforts to support and strengthen our communities. Even as we strengthen our strategic philanthropic efforts, employee dedication to giving back year-round as a global team continues to be one of the company’s proudest citizenship achievements.
Global Volunteer Day is the cornerstone of the Giving Back at Life program—a day when all Life employees and their families come together to volunteer for a full day of service to their local non-profit partners. Learn more >
Community Service Projects
Life Technologies employees regularly volunteer in activities varying from sorting food and painting non-profit offices to building bikes for underprivileged kids. For info on bringing Life employees to your non-profit for a community service project, please email us here.
In addition to community service projects, the Giving Back at Life program encourages and incentivizes employees to take time to volunteer on their own. Since 2008, over 10,000 employees have volunteered more than 250,000 hours to over 1000 organizations.
From collecting food and donating blood to holiday toy drives and gathering science equipment for classrooms, employees embrace the spirit of giving back all year long.
