Achievement Program

We are dedicated to protecting the environment and promoting the health and safety of our employees, customers and communities. We foster employee ownership of safety and health issues, comply with regulatory requirements, and strive to create products with lifecycles that tread lightly on the environment. To support this commitment, our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) organization uses a comprehensive, progressive approach to manage EHS functions along the supply chain, from suppliers, through manufacturing, R&D, distribution sites, and to our customers.

In light of this commitment, we use the Achievement Program as our EHS management system. We are taking a proactive approach in conducting self-assessments and regular audits to ensure we are not only in compliance but also meeting our own standards and are striving for continuous improvement to prevent and mitigate injury, environmental releases, and other health and safety risks. The program and its corresponding audit process are applied to all of our sites globally and stakeholders including contractors and suppliers. Whether a site or stakeholder is in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, or the United States, each is governed by the same operating procedures-- enabling us to advance our environmental performance each year.

The Achievement Program is a site roadmap mirrored against ISO 14001, Environmental Management System and BS OSHAS 18001, Occupational Health and Safety Management System internationally recognized standards. By the time a site reaches the "Prevention" level, it is qualified to seek ISO 14001 or OSHAS 18001 certification, if desired.
