Especially for molecular testing of oncology targets, it’s important to choose quality control materials that are specific to the needs of your test.
AcroMetrix offers target-specific controls to help with the regular assessment of analytical performance of your molecular testing of oncology targets. Target-specific controls come in genomic DNA and plasma DNA format, allowing the flexibility of directly spiking into your setup while providing the confidence of a positive control that is specific to your target of interest. Target-specific controls can be used to monitor workflow precision and identify possible variations such as lot-to-lot assay reagent performance and operator performance. Low sensitivity controls, also available from AcroMetrix, allow you to challenge the lower limits of your mutation testing method.
Additionally, AcroMetrix offers a portfolio of full process controls to assess the performance of the isolation, purification, and detection of somatic genetic variants. Process controls are designed to mimic tumor tissue sample by sequencing of nucleic acid associated with specific genetic variations in a human biological sample in formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded (FFPE) format. Available through AcroMetrix custom services, low-sensitivity controls in FFPE allow you to challenge the lower limits of your mutation testing method, while also controlling for DNA extraction, purification, and detection.
