Earlier today Life Technologies was honored at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland: for the second consecutive year, Life Technologies has been selected as one of the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations.
Widely respected as the most credible corporate sustainability ranking, the Global 100 list is produced by the Corporate Knights, a Canadian media and investment research company dedicated to promoting clean capitalism.
The goal of the Global 100 is to highlight the 100 top-performing stocks worldwide on a range of sector-specific sustainability metrics in managing environmental, social and corporate governance issues. Rankings were earned based on information gathered independently by analysts who evaluate how sustainably Life Tech operates, from resource productivity and gender diversity to safety performance, financial management and innovation capacity. Life Tech employees are proud of the collective achievements that earned spot #33 spot on this prestigious list.
Since 2008, Life Technologies has achieved continuous improvement in operations, radically reducing its environmental footprint by becoming more efficient, while working smarter.
The secret ingredient behind this transformation? The many ways, both large and small, that LIFE employees challenge their way of doing things every single day. From ideation to the end of the product life cycle, Life employees are constantly seeking and delivering a better way to manage raw materials, energy, water, packaging and product take-back to become ever more resource efficient. By cutting carbon emissions and operating costs, LIFE will thrive in a circular economy. Pioneering innovative ways to delight customers with solutions that reduce their waste and improve their experience helps to ensure LIFE's continued success.
