Parental Cell Lines

 Gibco offers low licensing access to two established and well-characterized parental CHO host cell lines. Both the CHO DG44 and CHO-S cell lines are suspension adapted into AOF chemically defined media, banked under cGMP guidelines and are supported by complete lineage documentation packages to streamline regulatory filings.

Vector Design and Construction

  

Expression levels can be systematically enhanced by creating an optimal vector which contains the desired genetic elements, has minimal licensing requirements and royalties and is regulatory friendly. To that end, each of our CHO cell line platforms is complemented by vectors designed for high level expression. Our vectors ensure:

  • Rapid cDNA integration into a vector of your choice using Invitrogen's proprietary cloning technologies
  • Licensing agreements that ensure access to a diversity of elements with freedom to operate and clear line of sight to financial commitments through commercialization

Transient Protein Expression

  

Transient transfection of mammalian cells has become increasingly important to produce milligram quantities of a recombinant protein for characterization and preclinical studies.  We can assist in:
