Image-iT® FX Signal Enhancer

Image-iT® FX Signal Enhancer ReadyProbes™ Reagent dramatically reduces background fluorescence resulting from non-specific staining during secondary detection using conjugates of streptavidin or secondary antibodies. This reagent is applied directly to slides or coverslips containing fixed and permeabilized cell or tissue samples prior to staining with fluorescent probes.

  • Optimized performance with an easy protocol
  • Compatibility with the other steps in your immunostaining protocol

Image-iT® FX Signal Enhancer ReadyProbes® reagent. BPAE cells were fixed, permeabilized, and blocked using the Image-iT® Fixation/Permeabilization Kit. Samples were then incubated without (A) or with (B) Image-iT® FX Signal Enhancer ReadyProbes® reagent. Peroxisomes were labeled using an anti-PMP70 antibody followed by detection with an Alexa Fluor® 594 secondary. Actin was stained using ActinGreen™ and nuclei were stained with NucBlue® Fixed.

Antifade Reagents

Loss of fluorescence through irreversible photobleaching processes can lead to a significant reduction in sensitivity, particularly when target molecules are of low abundance or when excitation light is of high intensity or long duration.  

To minimize photobleaching of experimental samples we have developed a series of antifade reagents which have been shown to increase the photostability of many popular fluorophores in a variety of sample types.
