Click-IT® Edu Now Available in Larger Size

Click-iT® EdU offers a simplified method for detecting nascent DNA synthesis and is now available in a 5-gram size. EdU is an alkyne-containing nucleoside analog of thymidine whose detection is based on a click reaction, a copper (I)–catalyzed reaction between an azide and an alkyne. The small size of the detection azide allows the use of mild conditions to access EdU incorporated into DNA. The Click-iT® EdU assay can be completed in less than 90 minutes, without the need for immunoreagents or signal amplification.

New Mitochondrial Antibodies

Invitrogen™ mitochondrial antibodies can be used to study the role of mitochondria in various cellular pathways and diseases. CellLight® Lysosomes-GFP

CellLight® reagents are fluorescent protein–signal peptide fusions that permit specific labeling of cellular structures, including lysosomes, for live-cell imaging or for analyses following formaldehyde-based fixation. CellLight® reagents are powered by BacMam technology, which uses a modified insect cell baculovirus coupled with a mammalian promoter to efficiently deliver and express genes in mammalian cells.

Click-iT® Protein Enrichment Kit

The Click-iT® Protein Enrichment Kit allows proteins that have metabolically or enzymatically incorporated azide-containing sugars, fatty acids, or amino acids to be efficiently captured on a resin of alkyne agarose. Bound protein is removed by standard proteolytic release upstream of protein sequencing. Superior to biotin- or lectin-based approaches, the kit is ideal for LC MS/MS–based biomarker discovery, posttranslational modification analysis, and other proteomics applications.

Influenza Neuraminidase Assay Kits

Both the Applied Biosystems® NA-XTD™ Influenza Neuraminidase Assay Kit and NA-Fluor™ Influenza Neuraminidase Assay Kit provide chemiluminescent or fluorescent detection reagents for quantitating the sensitivity of influenza virus isolates to neuraminidase inhibitors. New Antibodies for Hyperosmotic Stress Research

FAK phosphorylation at tyrosine 861 has been indicated as a requirement for mammalian cells to survive under hyperosmotic stress. EGFR is also activated in downstream hyperosmotic stress signaling cascades. Invitrogen now offers two new ABfinity™ recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies to help elucidate FAK [pY861] and EGFR signaling. These antibodies are validated for western blotting and immunofluorescence applications.
