Live CRE BAG 2 cells.
Live CRE BAG 2 cells loaded with the beta-galactosidase substrate from the DetectaGene Green CMFDG lacZ Gene Expression Kit (Cat. No. D2920). The substrate was loaded into cells with the aid of the Influx™ pinocytic cell-loading reagent (Cat. No. I14402), a component of the DetectaGene™ Green Kit. The cells were then stained with LysoTracker® Red DND-99 (Cat. No. L7528) to differentiate lysosomal from cytoplasmic localization of the green-fluorescent CMFDG product, as well as to illustrate the selective rupture of only the Influx™ reagent–induced pinocytic vesicles. The double-exposure image was acquired using bandpass filters appropriate for fluorescein and Texas Red® dye.
