Instructions

  1. Click the download button and save the file SetupiBlot3.0.0.exe to your computer.
  2. Click SetupiBlot3.0.0.exe to install the iBlot Updater (note where the program is installed so you can run it after installation)
  3. Make sure that the iBlot power switch is in the OFF position, and the device is NOT connected to a PC or other instruments before starting.
  4. Run iblotUpdater.exe and press next.
  5. Press and hold the "Select" button (black button closest to the LCD screen).
  6. Continue holding the "Select" button and turn the iBlot power on. Random symbols will be displayed on the LCD screen.
  7. Release the "Select" button and connect the iBlot to the computer with a USB A to B cable (A end into the computer, B end into the iBlot). The computer should now begin to search for the iBlot. This step may take several minutes. The PC will locate your iBlot and inform you if it is found.
  8. Press 'Next' to begin the iBlot Firmware Update. Do not disconnect or use device until iBlot updater is complete.
  9. After the update is complete, the program displays a message indicating that the update was successful.
  10. Disconnect the USB cable from the iBlot device.

Troubleshooting

  1. If the update was unsuccessful, the message "The Update failed" will appear.
  2. Please retry running the program, and if the problem persists, contact Invitrogen's Technical Support.
  3. Do NOT use a USB hub. The iBlot device must be connected directly to the computer for the firmware upgrade to work.
